The cable spiker is specialized equipment used for destructive cable identification after initial detection and before sawing. Essential for power cable construction, migration, and repair work, it ensures operator safety by definitively determining whether cables are live before cutting.
The device uses mechanical puncture to create a short circuit between cable phases or to ground - the only absolute method to confirm cable status. Our remote-controlled/automatic piercing system safely tests cables on-site: electrified cables will explode when punctured, while non-electrified cables remain unaffected.
